Common Login Issues
Having trouble accessing your Notehouse account?
Most login issues have simple fixes. Find the section that matches what you’re seeing and follow the steps to get back into your account.
Table of Contents
Incorrect Password
If your password isn’t working, start with a few quick checks:
- Make sure Caps Lock is off
- Confirm you’re using the correct keyboard or language layout
- Avoid copy-pasting extra spaces
- Consider whether your password was recently changed
If it still doesn’t work, reset your password:
- Go to the Notehouse login page
- Select "Forgot password?"
- Enter your email address
- Follow the reset instructions sent to your email
For a more detailed guide, see "Reset Your Password".
Email Not Recognized
If Notehouse doesn’t recognize your email address:
- Double-check for typos
- Try any alternate email addresses you may have used
- Confirm with your administrator which email your invitation was sent to
If you were invited, your account only exists under the email address that received the invitation. If the invitation was cancelled or your access was removed, an admin will need to send a new one.
Account Locked
After multiple failed login attempts, accounts may be temporarily locked.
If this happens:
- Wait 15–30 minutes before trying again
- Avoid repeated login attempts during the lockout
You can still use "Forgot password?" during this time to reset your password and regain access.
Browser Issues
Sometimes login problems are browser-related.
Try the following:
- Clear your browser’s cache and cookies
- Update your browser to the latest version
- Try logging in using a different browser
- Disable extensions such as ad blockers or security tools
- Test in a private or incognito window
Other Problems
If the login page won’t load or you’re seeing an error message:
- Check your internet connection and refresh the page
- Note the exact error message shown
- Try again after clearing your browser cache
If you’re having trouble with two-factor authentication, see "2FA Recovery" for next steps.
