What Are Important Dates

Important Dates track time-sensitive information for a specific client, such as:

  • Filing deadlines
  • Court dates
  • Meetings or appointments
  • Contract expirations
  • Follow-ups and renewals

Dates can be set in the past for record-keeping or in the future to track upcoming events.

Creating an Important Date

  1. Open the client’s record
  2. Click on the pencil icon next to where it says "Important Dates"
  3. Click "Add Date"
  4. Enter the required information
  5. Save the date

Add Important Date modal with fields for a description, date selection, and an Add Date button.

Best Practices

  • Be specific: use clear, action-oriented descriptions
  • Add buffer time: set reminders before deadlines
  • Include context: note what action is required
  • Review regularly: check upcoming dates weekly
  • Update as needed: adjust dates when details change
