How to Export Client Data

Notehouse lets you export client data at any time, whether you need a backup, a report, or a copy for use outside the application.

You can export a single client’s full record or multiple clients from the clients list.

Export Options

There are two ways to export client data:

  • Export a single client’s full record
  • Export multiple clients at once

Exporting a Single Client

  1. Open the client’s record
  2. Go to Manage Client and click to open the dropdown menu
  3. Select Export

The file will download to your computer automatically.

A single-client export includes the full client record, such as notes, important dates, attachments (if applicable), and related details.

Exporting Multiple Clients

  1. Go to your Account Settings
  2. Open the Organization tab
  3. Scroll down to Import & Export
  4. Select Export
  5. Choose whether to export all fields or only filtered results
  6. Select a CSV or Excel file format from the dropdown menu in the top left

You can also export from the dashboard. See the image below.

Note: Only users with certain roles can export all client data. If you do not see these options, you may not have the required permissions. To request a permission change, contact your organization’s Admin or Owner.

Export Contents

Exports include core client information and related data, such as names, contact details, status, assigned users, tags, important dates, and timestamps.

When exporting a single client, notes and related attachments are also included.

Export files are provided in a spreadsheet or document-friendly formats for easy viewing and sharing or printing.
