Why Do I See an Additional Charge on My Statement?

Some users may notice an additional fee on their bank or credit card statement after purchasing a Notehouse subscription.

Although Notehouse subscriptions are charged in US dollars (USD), some banks classify the transaction as an “international” or “cross-border” purchase because Notehouse is operated by Waterglass, a UK-based company.

When this occurs, certain banks or card issuers may automatically apply additional fees, such as:

  • foreign transaction fees
  • cross-border assessment fees
  • international processing fees

These fees are determined entirely by your bank and vary by institution and card type.

Notehouse only charges the subscription amount shown in your billing portal. We cannot view, remove, refund, or dispute bank-issued fees. However, we are happy to provide invoices or receipts if needed.

If you see an unexpected fee, contact your bank or card issuer.
